Summer Camp Staff Application

Positions Available:

• Counselor -

  As a counselor, you will sleep in the cabins with the campers in bunk beds.  Each week you will change cabins and work with different campers.  Campers will come for a week at a time after staff training.  Sometimes there will be two camps running the same week.  Campers experience different activities each day such as arts & crafts, music, horses, field sports, outdoor nature, swimming, canoeing & fishing, and for some camps, the fully accessible high ropes course with a 300 ft. zip line.  Every night there is a different activity; skit night, casino night, boat night (campers go out on the lake on pontoon boats), night swim, camp fires, and of course, everyone's favorite - a dance on the last night.

The summer will begin with a week long training program that prepares staff for an amazing experience.  Some of the topics covered are:  adapted activities, working with people with special needs, camper care, conflict resolution, behavior management, feeding, lifting and transfering and much more.

As well as a great week of training, you will get to know the people you are working with very well, and by the end of the week you will already be on your way to creating lifelong friends.

Internships - Year-round and summer positions are available.  From beginning to professional, Timber Pointe is willing to work to make a variety of internships possible.

Volunteers - If you are unable to work for the entire summer, come and volunteer for a week at Timber Pointe.  There are also weekend camp available during the non-summer months.
