Counseling Services Screening and Counseling Services for Infants/Toddlers, School-Age Children, Young Adults, and Their Families, who are coping with developmental delays, disabilities, and/or medically complex issues. Caring for children of all ages is a tough job, however many children, youth, and adults with disabilities face special challenges. They may experience fears about the future, self-esteem issues, and feeling “different” than their peers. Many parents of children with disabilities also experience very unique challenges related to managing a child’s development and behavior. Counselors at the Easter Seals can help individuals focus on their abilities, learn positive coping methods, improve challenging parenting tasks, and enhance social and behavioral skills in a comfortable and fun environment. While Easter Seals Peoria is one of the largest providers of Early Intervention (birth to 3) services in down-state Illinois, our Licensed Counselors also have experience providing services for individuals between the ages of 3 and 21. Private payment and medical insurance plans are accepted. Children 0-3 may be eligible for Counseling Services through Early Intervention. Medicaid does not pay for Counseling services for children three and over, unless the child has been authorized for PUNS Medicaid Waiver Services. |
