The Warm Water Pool Program Splashercise is a warm water exercise class for children with disabilities or specific diagnoses age six through eighteen. Class, led by a licensed therapist will focus on age-appropriate strengthening, range of motion and stretching, weight bearing, balance and endurance activities in a warm water medium. Participants who will benefit from the class may include children or adolescents with: status post orthopedic surgery, juvenile arthritis, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, diabetes and/or asthma. Participants must be able to maintain head above water and stand in 3-4 feet of water. (exceptions may be made for certain diagnoses). A physician consent form is required. Cost is $65.00 for six-week sessions. Classes are on Tuesday at 5:00-5:45 p.m. Session Dates Session III - August 20 – September 24, 2013 - Registration Period - August 5 – August 16, 2013 Session IV - October 15 – November 19, 2013 - Registration Period - September 30 – October 11, 2013 To register for class you may stop by the pool office or phone in your registration during registration periods to Brandon Schmitz, Aquatics Supervisor at 309/686-1177. A $5.00 discount will be offered for additional siblings.
