Gia is 18 years old, and loves singing, dancing, and being part of the Penguin Project and Special Olympics!

After suffering a massive stroke in 2022 due to Moyamoya disease, doctors said she had only a 50% chance of walking again. But through the care and dedication of her therapists, Gia defied the odds and was walking within months!

Now, Gia is working hard to regain use of her left hand and continues to make incredible strides. Easterseals Central Illinois means everything to Gia and her family and has given her the confidence to keep moving forward. Her family couldn’t be more grateful, saying, "Without Easterseals, we don’t know where we’d be."
